MAKE: DIY dollar store glitter covered boxes.
I have a weakness for pretty storage containers. A chunky rope basket? A fabric tote? Sleek and modern boxes?
Sigh.
Something about that combination of form and function gets me every time.
Well, I recently spied some clear plastic containers at the dollar store and my heart skipped a beat.
The little acrylic boxes and trays are quite attractive on their own but I wanted to add a little something. And when I doubt, I add glitter!
Want to learn how to use glitter to transform inexpensive dollar store containers into boxes into something special? This DIY glitter covered storage is a quick and easy craft (and cheap!) to create. The boxes and trays will add a little rose gold sparkle to any space.
Will they make you magically organized and tidy? Ha! I wish! Just because I like storage containers, does NOT mean I am neat and organized! (On the contrary, these containers allow me to hide and squirrel all my junk out of view. But, when they are lovely to look at, I can’t complain about my system.)
Watch this week’s video to see how to make these sparkly containers and to learn my tips for adding more depth and dimension to your glitter surface:
