Dwell: Hunting for a bargain.
I did a little ”hunting” this weekend. Where did I hunt? A flea market, a farmers market and a garage sale. Oh, and a little perusing at some of my favorite stores.
I did not find anything at the garage sale and the two markets were rather small. Despite those facts, I scored a couple of great finds.

Lately, I’m in love with white dishes and pottery. The pot on the left I found at the flea market today. I especially like its matte finish. The porcelain pitcher on the right is from Home Goods. I need to find an interesting way to display these.
And what are those blue glass things?
They are old electrical glass insulators. I see them frequently at flea markets and apparently a number of people collect them. I picked up two of them today for fifty cents a piece.
Do I know if these are antique? Nope.
Do I think they are pretty, colorful and shiny? Yep.
Our bedroom color is tan/cream with accents of blue. I already had one larger blue glass insulator sitting on Mr. Madigan’s chest of drawers.
I suppose I collect glass insulators now, too!
