Madigan made… simple DIY Christmas cards with Duck® Brand tape.
This time of year is so busy for so many. Who has time to make handmade Christmas cards right before the holidays?
Well, I’m here to show you that it can be done if you keep the process simple. Just use that tool that seems to be able to fix anything… Duck Tape®!
I recently received a box of Duck Tape® in all of these fun colors:
The patterns on the tape were so festive! I wanted to show them off, so I thought about making cards out of them. My easy dry wall tape neon cards inspired this card project.
Instructions to make simple Duck Tape® holiday cards:
Supplies:
- Duck Tape®
- White cardstock
- Stamp pad
- Stamps
- Envelopes, invitation size
Directions:
First, take your 8.5”x11” white card stock and cut it in half like so:
Fold those cut sheets in half to create a card:
Place a stripe across the card with the Duck Tape® (carefully to avoid wrinkles!):
Trim the edges of the tape as close as you can against the edge of the card using scissors or a paper trimmer:
Stamp a small holiday sentiment to one side… above or below the tape. That’s it!
These cards were so fun and simple to make! I loved mixing up the placement of the tape to get a little variety.
You could place the Duck Tape® across the middle:
At differing heights:
Vertically:
Along the bottom:
Diagonally:
I kept the cards blank on the inside to write my own holiday greeting. These cards will easily fit in an invitation size envelope that you can pick up from any office supply store.
I’ve shown you how to make simple handmade greeting cards before… but I think this card making method is definitely the fastest and easiest. You can whip up a batch of fun cards in no time for the holidays!
