MAKE|DWELL|GLOW: I’m sharing a recap of everything I loved this last month!
Happy Sunday! Another month has passed and I have another video round up over on my YouTube channel reviewing everything I’m loving lately from DIY to lifestyle to travel to beauty! We recently went away on vacation and I filmed my recap there.
What’s on my list? Well, it’s hard to get through the fall without hearing someone talk about their love of candles. Yes, I’m sheepishly raising my hand here! I personally love little votive candles because I can change the scent often. (I like to mix things up and not stay wedded to one flavor.)
While I am the first to admit that I’m a sucker for candles this time of year… I am NOT a pumpkin spiced latte girl! (Gasp!) I personally think spicy teas are a perfect way to warm up on a Sunday afternoon (which I am doing right now as I type this post!).
Can you guess what my favorite DIY tool was this month? If you’ve seen any of my recent projects (like my black and white Halloween decor or Cookie Monster crafts), you may have guessed circle paper punches. I love having these tools in a variety of different sizes. Need a quick gift tag or shape to make a card look cuter? Grab a circle punch!
Oh, and in the video I mention how much we love to travel to the Outer Banks of North Carolina in the fall. (That’s where we were.) Seriously, rentals are cheaper, the water is usually still warm, the beach is less crowded (empty?) and that area is gorgeous in the fall. The atmosphere down there is so relaxing and it is the perfect getaway if you have a young family or dogs. (we have both!)
The big caveat we have to bear in mind when traveling to OBX this time of year is the gamble we take with hurricanes. Travel insurance is a must and we lucked out with the week we went this fall. Our thoughts and prayers are with OBX this weekend as Hurricane Matthew hit the NC coast. Please stay safe OBX, we love you and can’t wait to come back!
Also in this month’s review, I shared one of my all-time favorite face cleansers. This wash was seriously a game changer for me (my face feels like butter after using it!) and it is great for travel since it is a powder. I also mentioned another travel related tip, a must-have craft-related toy for traveling with a toddler!
Watch the video below for my full recap, including a disastrous craft FAIL I had with glitter. (and to see how much our dog LOVES (hates?) the water…) There is a product list is below if you are interested in anything I mentioned.
