The Easiest Way to Make Pom Poms

MAKE: easy DIY yarn pompoms. Easy DIY pom pom bunny tails. This is such a simple way to make pom poms.

Quick and simple crafts are so satisfying, aren’t they?

I’m really not sure why I don’t make more pom poms. They are fluffy and fun… plus pom poms are so stinking easy to create!

There’s a bunch of reasons to make pom poms, right?

Need a fun detail for a pillow or two? Does that hat require a fluffy top on it? Got some extra yarn you need to use up? Does your  DIY bunny costume need a tail? Or maybe you just want to create some big pompoms because you love them? I get it, I do!

Either way, you are going to love this technique. This is by far the easiest way that I’ve found to make pom poms and you only need four things! Scissors, yarn, cording and a rectangular piece of cardboard.

You may have spotted this technique when I made my daughter a bunny costume this fall… but with Easter around the corner, I feel like everyone needs a quick reminder on how to make a cute bunny tail.

Watch this quick video to see how easy it is to make pom poms:

I would put the cord on first and tape it to the back of the cardboard and then start wrapping.
