MAKE: DIY decorated pumpkins with glitter.
I am no stranger to the occasional craft fail. It is known.
I love crafting and creating things. When a project doesn’t work out the way I had hoped, it is frustrating. But when you work with a set of beautiful white pumpkins and each idea you try turns out frightful… you start to wonder if your craft project is cursed.
Watch this week’s video to find out if this decorated painted pumpkin project turned out doomed in the end.
Spoiler alert: the pumpkins turned out dark, sparkly and spooky. All it took was the help of some magical (or almost magical!) craft supplies. (holographic glitter and black spray paint, of course!)
Watch the video to see my trials and errors and how I finally broke the spell over my craft table:
To make these black painted and holo ice pumpkins I used several supplies. This site uses affiliate links and we may earn a small income from purchases made via links, at no charge to readers. Thanks for your support.
SUPPLIES USED: (similar to shown)
- Black spray paint
- Silver extra fine glitter or holographic glitter for more sparkle
- Decoupage
- Protective clear spray paint
I love how these pumpkins turned out… they are sparkly and spooky and will fit right in with the rest of our Halloween decor. Stay tuned for a fall/Halloween decor home tour!
